At the tree planting ceremony in the park area next to the Büyük Çamlıca Mosque, attended by Istanbul Kent University students, academics and staff; Berna Yılmaz, who planted the saplings with the students, said, “With the support of Agriculture and Forestry Minister Bekir Pakdemirli and Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, it was decided to make the forest area next to the Büyük Çamlıca Mosque Park. Thank you to everyone who supported this process. We will keep the name of our son Yavuz Yılmaz alive with social responsibility projects.”
The two trees planted were named after their grandchildren Berna Ceylin Yılmaz and the recently born Mesut Kaan Yılmaz. The tree planting event, attended by the fans of the Yılmaz family, ended with the prayer in the name of Yavuz Yılmaz and the prayer dinner given in the Büyük Çamlıca Mosque.
